I would rather stand in line

I dont think they could have designed a more difficult app than this. I cant tell you how many times I had to log in and whats upsetting is that none of the information saves when you accidentally press a button. Please re work this app. You are the best airline in the world, now make an app that resembles the 21st century.

Should update for iOS 7 UI and add club card to passbook

Really needs to be reworked

This app is pretty horrible. First, it doesnt keep you logged in so you always have to dig up you membership number to access your information. Next, the check in process doesnt remember your information even after you log in. I had to enter my passport information every time since they never seem to have it right in their system even though I have entered it numerous times. Also, the back button doesnt work in most parts of the experience. When I didnt want to change my seat I checked back and it said that I was logged out due to an error. Sweet. Finally, forget about getting boarding passes on the phone. They only give you the option of emailing it to yourself to print out later. Whats the point then? If you want to look for a better airline app look at the United app. It has some flaws but makes itself pretty easy to use.

Frequent Traveller

The ability to access a reservation is limited to only those with a CX FF account. For those of us that prefer to use a different One World airlines plan, we are SOL.

Not worth it

For a skytrax award winner, this app doesnt do any justice. Please upgrade!!!

Cathay should be ashamed

Very good airline overall but why would you have such a sub par app for your frequent flyers. Doesnt come close to any other airline they compete with in Asia. CX get your act together. Please.

So disappointed in Cathay

This app is a disgrace. I fly to Asia on Cathay at least once a month and this app is so bad I cant use it. Cathay should be embarrassed by this blemish on an otherwise outstanding service.

Really? Cathay?

This is the worst app of all major airlines. Its just a browser based app that looked like made by a cheap outsourcing company for $500.

An embarrassing disappointment...

Shockingly disappointing with respect to functionality, ease of use, accessibility, accuracy, efficiency, and speed. CX’s in-flight crews are wonderful. Full stop. However, their customer service is, regrettably, an unmitigated disaster with respect to… well, pretty much most anything…

A disgrace to the CX brand

Dear CEO of CX, Please listen to your customers and recreate an iPhone app that is worthy of the Cathay Pacific name. I love everything about the CX experience except for the your disastrous iPhone app. You can do better!

Undoubtedly. The worst airline app ever created.

Why would such an amazingly good airline have such a disgusting app. This is unusable in every respect. Please Cathay, join us in the 21st century and provide your customers with a useful iOS app. Its amazing to say this, but the United app is drastically better than this embarrassment.

Terrible app

Whoever programmed this app should be shot. Cant pull up any bookings, cant check in. Completely useless.

Not very useful

The look and feel is good, however performance wise it is too slow - takes over 2 min to load/refresh. Missing a lot functionality such as latest activities, flight time tables.

It is too slow!

Finally Cathay Pacific has a update for the app. However, it is way toooo slow compares to its peers. And it should have a better functional interface design for non member! Look other airlines apps. They are better functions! I love Cathay Pacific but the app is just disappointing!

Downgrade

While the app itself finally looks like it belongs in the 21st century, everything else about it stepped back a century or two. Everything takes a long time to load, if it ever does. You cant see seat maps anymore for your reservations, no schedules, less general information. There is a lack of MPC options as well. Not very useful at this moment, and too much waiting required.

Who releases an app that does less?

The old app was too basic but a user could still do the key things a traveler needs to use. The new one looks fresh but has few functions. At least make sure all of your former functions work in your new app before it is released! Folks are better off just using the mobile website.

A real fumble for CX

I no longer use the app. Not intuitive at all, cant find my account balances, wont let me check in to my flights. Just really a shame. I travel a TON with CX and am always shocked by how poorly their website and app perform. At least with the old version of the app I could manage the basics. Back to the drawing board CX!

Poor effort from CX it team

Poor UI Slow Buggy Crashes Lacks even basic features In almost every instance using the mobile website is easier, faster and offers better functionality Very little positive to say about it.
